How to Reset View in Blender

Jun 26, 2024

Hey everyone, today I'm going to show you how to reset your view in Blender. Have you ever accidentally zoomed in too far or rotated the view in a way that you can't easily get back to your original perspective? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Here's how to reset your view in a few simple steps. First, make sure you have the object or scene that you want to reset the view for. Then, press 'N' to open the properties panel and go to the 'View' tab. Look for the 'View Lock' section and click on the 'Lock Camera to View' option to disable it if it's enabled. Next, press 'Numpad . (period)' on your keyboard or click on 'View' in the 3D view header and select 'Frame Selected' to focus the view on your selected object or scene. If you want to completely reset the view to its default position, you can also press 'Numpad 5' to switch between perspective and orthographic view, and then press 'Numpad 1' or 'Numpad 3' to switch to front or side view respectively. And there you have it! Your view is now reset to its default position. I hope this quick tip helps you navigate and work more efficiently in Blender. Let me know in the comments if you found this helpful, and don't forget to like and share this video with your fellow Blender enthusiasts.
