Sep 28, 2024

Hey there, in this video I'm going to show you how to import an obj file into Autodesk Inventor. Whether you're working on 3D modeling, CAD design, or any other project, importing obj files can be a game-changer. Here's how you can do it in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Open Autodesk Inventor and start a new or existing project.

Step 2: Go to the 'File' menu and select 'Open'.

Step 3: In the file dialog box, change the file type to 'OBJ Files' to filter and select the obj file you want to import. Click 'Open' to proceed.

Step 4: A dialog box will appear with import options. Adjust the import settings such as units, scale, and positioning as needed and click 'OK' to import the obj file into your Inventor project.

Step 5: Once imported, the obj file will appear in the workspace. You can now work with the obj file like any other part or assembly in Inventor.

That's it! You've successfully imported an obj file into Autodesk Inventor. Now you can use all the powerful tools and features of Inventor to modify, analyze, and integrate the obj file into your design.

Remember, importing obj files can be a great way to collaborate with others who may be working in different 3D modeling software or to incorporate existing 3D assets into your projects.
