How to Color an OBJ Import in Blender

Oct 06, 2024

Hey there, fellow 3D artists! Today, I'm going to show you a quick and easy way to add some color to your OBJ imports in Blender. Let's get started! First, make sure you have your OBJ file imported into Blender. If not, go to File > Import > Wavefront (.obj) and select your file. Once your OBJ is imported, it's time to add some color. Select the object you want to color by right-clicking on it. Next, go to the Materials tab in the Properties panel. Click on the 'New' button to create a new material for your object. Now, you can adjust the base color by clicking on the color swatch next to 'Base Color.' You can choose any color you like from the color picker. If you want to add some shine to your object, you can also adjust the Specular and Roughness settings. Once you're happy with the color and material settings, simply click 'Assign' to apply the material to your object. And just like that, your OBJ import is now beautifully colored in Blender! Feel free to experiment with different colors and material settings to achieve the look you desire. And there you have it - a quick and easy way to add color to your OBJ imports in Blender. Happy blending, and have fun bringing your 3D creations to life with vibrant colors! #Blender #OBJimport #3Dmodeling #color #materials #tutorial
